2017’s Independence Day Activities: We’re celebrating in style!
1). Reedville Independence Day Celebration Sponsorships Available!
July 1-2, 2017
The Reedville Fourth of July Committee is once again sponsoring the annual Reedville Independence Day Celebration. This 2-day event is fun for children of all ages! On Saturday, July 1st, rain or shine, the Celebration will begin with the 14th Annual Firecracker 5K Fun Run/Walk followed by kids’ games at the Museum, cruises on the Claud W. Somers, music by Russ at the gazebo, and the annual Hometown Parade on Main Street later in the day. On Sunday the 2nd, the Patriotic music performance will be held in the afternoon at Festival Halle, and we’ll wrap up the weekend’s events with Fireworks over Cockrell’s Creek Sunday evening!
The Artist’s Arena is scheduled to begin at 10:00am Saturday morning and will conclude after the infamous Hometown Parade down Main Street. The Artist’s Arena consists of 12X12 lawn spaces in front of the parsonage next to Bethany United Methodist Church on Main Street. Spaces will be pre-assigned upon receipt of your application and check. Please make your tax-deductible check payable to The Greater Reedville Association in the amount of $25.00 per space. Please include your email address. Confirmation of your reservation will be returned by email. This donation is not refundable.
Upon request only, pre-show set up will be available on Friday evening, June 30th. We do not provide security and will not be responsible for items left overnight. Someone will be available Saturday morning beginning at 8:00am to help you find your space. Remember – Main Street will be closed Saturday morning for the 5k Fun Run and will not reopen until 10 am so come early if you need to setup on Saturday morning! Exhibitors are responsible for bringing all necessary materials for set up including tables and chairs. Exhibitors are also responsible for cleaning their spaces after the event. For the safety of all, disassembly of sites will not be permitted until 4:00pm (after the Hometown Parade).
Looking forward to seeing you at our Independence Day Celebration!
