The Covington Building
Home of the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum
A generous gift from Mr. Frank Covington enabled the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum to expand into a new building in 1995.
The facility, which was significantly enlarged in 2003, houses both our permanent collection in the Reed Gallery and the Frayne Gallery. During your visit to the museum, our skilled and knowledgeable docent volunteers will guide you through the different displays and are happy to answer any questions. Please come join us for a wonderful trip into Reedville’s past!
Changing Exhibits are displayed in the Watermen’s Gallery, the most recent addition to the Covington Building. The Covington Building also houses the museum gift shop and the Watermen’s Gallery hosts “Cocktails on the Creek” on the 2nd and 4th Fridays from April to October. It also provides space for our board meetings and is used for special events and occasional classes.
