The RFM Campus
The Museum’s campus consists of the oldest house in Reedville (Walker House), the Covington Building (the main Museum galleries and gift shop), the Pendleton Building (which houses the Model and Boat Shops), the Pavilion (open air, under cover facility for dancing, picnicking, boat displays, concerts and education programming), the Butler House (now our administrative offices, the curatorial work space, library, and reading room), the dock, which has the Claud W. Somers, a skip jack; the Foggy River, a deadrise; the Elva C, a buy boat; and The Spirit of Reedville, a purse boat donated by Omega Protein all moored on site. The John Smith, a reproduction of Captain Smith’s 1608 boat, is displayed on the grounds.
Down Main Street we also have Festival Halle, the original school, now a conference and event space.
